The Italian Search Fund Observatory is a research initiative, developed in collaboration with the POLIMI Graduate School of Management and Eureka! Venture, aimed at systematically mapping the evolution, dynamics, and characteristics of the Search Fund ecosystem in Italy.
The Italian Search Fund Observatory has three main goals:
- analyze the diffusion, characteristics, and outcomes of the Search Fund model in Italy, leveraging both primary and secondary data sources;
- generate knowledge on the key phases of the Search Fund model – fundraising, search and acquisition, operations and value creation, and exit – identifying emerging practices, challenges, and success factors;
- foster an ongoing dialogue between the different players of the emerging Search Fund ecosystem – enabling business schools, searchers, investors, and acquisition target to better understand this evolving entrepreneurship through acquisition model.
