Sustainable & Digital Beauty

The Sustainable & Digital Beauty Observatory aims to represent a permanent critical analysis and discussion table on the role of innovation and sustainability that the Beauty sector ecosystem can constitute to spread excellence practices for managing the beauty and cosmetics industry.

As part of the 2020 Research the Observatory aims to:

Map innovative sustainability solutions implemented within Beauty supply chains
Identify impacts (benefits, opportunities and criticalities that may arise) of the solutions identified
Develop a beauty supply chain sustainability Roadmap
Define methodologies to measure sustainability performances within Beauty supply chains
Support «Cleaner production» in Beauty manufacturing procedures
Analyse the level of digital maturity of business processes within Beauty supply chains
Develop a Beauty supply chain digitization Roadmap
Evaluate the impact of traceability within Beauty supply chains (e.g.. IoT, Blockchain, and Smart Label)

Activities planned by the Observatory for 2020 are:

Kick-off in October 2020
A series of appointments - to be defined - to share research progress
Final conference to present research results
