In the course of 2017 the Internet of Things for the Smart Home solutions market in Italy has grown considerably (+35% from 2016, reaching the 250-million-euro mark), even if there are still many barriers to overcome: product installation, integrating the offer with value services and the presence of well-established brands are the three points to work on in upcoming months.
Surveillance video cameras, thermostats, boilers and washing machines are among the lead players of 2017, a year that marked the entrance in the market of big manufacturers with established brands that often have their own consolidated sales network and qualified installer chain, important elements to increase consumer trust and encourage the purchase of smart products.
