The forecast on the ICT budget of Italian companies shows a more optimistic picture compared to previous years, to which a budget dedicated to digital innovation in other Departments is added, that indicates how digital technology is no longer considered a technical and specialized element but a fundamental business lever for Italian companies. To this augmented role of digital innovation is associated the creation of dedicated organization units, a process that is faced with company internal cultural clashes connected to process rigidity and constrained roles and competences.
