- What is the context of reference for smart working?
- What is the diffusion of smart working practices in Italy?
- What opportunities can co-working bring to smart working?
Other factors contribute to the growing interest surrounding smart working topics, in addition to the many projects initiated by companies tracing their own smart working pathways. These include actions undertaken by local public authorities and even central government, which has included the concept of smart working within several reforms implemented during 2015. One such proposal is the draft law on agile working practices, which is linked to the Italian Stability Law for 2016. In parallel, managers are becoming more and more interested in co-working applied to smart workers, where shared physical space is seen as an alternative to working from home or being based in other corporate locations. The report intends to frame the context of reference for smart working and describes the propagation of smart working initiatives in Italy and the associated trends in development, making comparisons between the different perspectives and presenting some of the most successful cases. Alongside these aspects, we have analysed the implications on society, covering the various angles of co-working and its correlation with smart working.
