The (advertising and pay) Media market breaks even in 2017, at 15.8 billion euros. In particular, the Internet Media market growth is unstoppable and increases by 14%.
Internet advertising in 2017 is confirmed as the second advertising media in Italy, with a 34% market share, reaching nearly 2.7 billion euros. The online advertising market appears to be increasingly concentrated: by the end of 2017 the Over The Top cover 71% of online advertising investments and are responsible for 87% of the market growth. Online use of paid content is growing by 25% from 2016 but its weight remains marginal (3%) on the overall Media content sales market.
