HR Departments in Italian companies are increasingly aware of their major role within digital transformation. Developing a digital culture and digital skills is the main challenge for 2017 (according to 45% of organisations), while this was a low priority in 2016.
As well as supporting the organisation, the HR Department must alter its own processes to make use of digital technology, but the companies that use the cloud, analytics, social media or mobile means in at least one HR process are still in a minority (22%). While maturity still seems far away, some arenas are already highly-developed, such as social channels, used by 68% of companies in at least one HR process.
The two main objectives for improving talent acquisition processes in 2017 are to attract young talented people that are capable of guiding the change (for 56% of the companies interviewed), and introduce or to improve their employer branding policies (for 50%).
