While Big Data Analytics continue to be a priority for top management for 2018, the Analytics market broke through the one billion mark for 2017, ending the year on a value of €1,103 million, an increase of 22%. Large enterprises account for 87% of spending, with banks and manufacturing the most dynamic sectors. There is strong growth in the number of data scientists: 45% of large companies now have at least one, compared to 31% in 2016. There is increased adoption of all types of analytics models, with predictive analytics showing particularly strong growth.
