Supply Chain Finance: tomorrow is already here!

The main goal of this document is to sum up the results of the 2016-2017 research of the Supply Chain Finance Observatory. Over the year, the research has highlighted an incredible change in the speed of innovation within the Supply Chain Finance market. This development process translates into new emerging solutions, changes in legislation to take in the solutions, new players (over) assertively entering the arena of Supply Chain Finance solutions and a prolific number of new start-ups. Consequently, the study was organized following five main directions: the measurement of the Supply Chain Finance market; the identification of the principle business models used by the providers of Supply Chain Finance solutions, including the viewpoint of start-ups; the assessment of the costs and benefits of the different Supply Chain Finance solutions, with a focus on Reverse Factoring and Credit Card; the development of tools and operating methods to support companies in choosing the right solution for their supply chain; the evaluation of creditworthiness, highlighting the benefits achievable by integrating financial and operational indicators.
