The group ICT & Management Observatories was founded in 1998. It offers an accurate and continuously up-to-date picture of the impact of ICT on companies, public administrations, industries and market.
There are now several ICT & Management Observatories facing all the most innovative subjects: B2B – eProcurement & eSupply Chain; Banking 2.0; Business Intelligence; ICT Trade; Cloud & ICT as a Service; B2C eCommerce, eGovernment; Enterprise 2.0; eProcurement in the Public Sector; Electronic Invoicing and Dematerialisation; ICT Strategic Management; Online Gaming; HR Innovation Practice; ICT & SMEs; ICT Accessibility for the Disabled; ICT in the Health Sector; ICT in Fashion-Retail; ICT in Real Estate; ICT & Utilities; ICT Strategic Sourcing; Information Security Management; Intelligent Transportation Systems; Mobile & Wireless Business; Mobile Content & Internet; Mobile Finance; Mobile Marketing & Service; Multichannel Marketing; New Media & Tv; NFC & Mobile Payment; RFId; Mobile & Online Social Networking; Unified Communication & Collaboration.
The ICT & Management Observatories face these subjects with the typical style of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, that is to conjugate the “experimental” analysis of the real cases with the attempt to build credible synthesis, to observe and investigate what happens in our country comparing it to the most advanced worldwide experiences, and finally to rationalize the real experiences in order to outline useful guide-lines for enterprises interested in ICT Technologies.
The School of Management of Politecnico di Milano aggregates the multiple activities of research, formation and high consultancy, in the field of economy, management and industrial engineering.
The School of Management of Politecnico di Milano aggregates the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering and MIP, the Business School of Politecnico di Milano that delivers post-graduate and executive programmes.
It avails – for its multiple activities of education research and consultancy – of beyond 240 teachers and approximately 80 graduate students and research assistants.
In June 2007 the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano was awarded EQUIS accreditation. EQUIS, the European Quality Improvement System, was formed in 1997 by the European Foundation for Management Development as a monitor of excellence among European business schools.
The ICT & Management Observatories are strongly integrated with the formative activities of the School: they represent an important source of material of education and argument for the courses, and they often take advantage from the experiences of those who participate or participated in the past to the courses (in particular to the post-university ones, offered by MIP).
In synergy with the Observatories, MIP Politecnico di Milano has implemented the ICT Executive MBA, the first and the only specific program MBA for those who deal with ICT, and various Executive Courses focused on the ICT or that have the ICT as a fundamental argument.
